wow... if your mages arent goin oom in nearly every fight WITH a SP then they are doing something wrong. It sounds like you need some real casters in your guild

Create a spammable non channeling damage spell. An easy solution would be to do the following: 1. Remove the cooldown from Mind blast 2. Increase the cast time of Mind blast to 3 seconds. 3. Change the imp mb talent to reduce the cast time of MB to be 1.5 seconds or 2 seconds. Then our damage...
